I love how they are trying to claim only men are trashing Amazon's show. Most comment sections are full of women quoting Tolkien and hating how they made Galadriel far weaker and lesser than she is in the books. I would watch something with the real Galadriel, but this fake one sucks.

@Myspiritualrhythm What? Then watch the 80s LOTR. You do know it was made back then too right since you're such an expert on fantasy? Amazon's show is bad. Just plain bad. Even to the majority of normies. It's boring, Elves are completely portrayed wrong, it's racist because the "Harfoots" are clearly a depiction of racist tropes about Travelers. The writing is horrific. It doesn't flow and it sounds too modern just like the hair is all too modern. If you think this is good, then you've only ever watched bad.

@Myspiritualrhythm Who is ladriel? If you mean Galadriel, how is she "higher up" than a princess? They've removed almost everything in the 1st and 2nd age that should have occurred. She's supposed to be learning from Maia how to use her powers at this stage in the books. She's supposed to be in Middle Earth because she was banished after the Kinslaying and she stays because she wants to make a kingdom of her own. Elves are immortal. Her brother was reincarnated almost immediately back in Valinor so she wouldn't be seeking revenge for his death and if she was that upset, she wouldn't have jumped off the boat. She would have instead traveled to Valinor to see and talk to her brother. They've downgraded her so much. She's so much less than she is in the books.
