I always find this attempt to change facts incredibly funny. You admit a lot of children died. That means they indeed did NOT live to 70. Nobody said that nobody lived to that age but between young deaths and war it wasn’t nearly as common as you’re attempting to make it. Edit: The retirement age has been increased several times because more people are living longer and able to remain in the workforce.

Yes we are. You can literally see life expectancy going up. We’ve recorded it for decades. That’s why retirement age has been increased. The average life expectancy when social security was instituted was around 67. It’s now, or was until it recently declined for the first time in recorded history, around 75. Edit: Things like tuberculosis, STDS, etc had no treatments much less cures. My disease was a death sentence 50 years ago. Now we live a near normal life span.
