That's it exactly. Natives/Indians are getting sick of their past being trotted out by people as some type of political chess piece. Just like BLM yelling about "stolen land" but then saying it should be given to black people. Tribes work hard within the government system to tackle the issues they have. They aren't looking for a handout and they aren't calling for people to give back land they lost due to war or treaties. Other races are the ones saying that on their behalf because again it's the racism of low expectations.

@FJB2020 Um the continent is called America. It's North and South American continent. That's like saying the German tribes aren't native Europeans. They also came from somewhere else called Africa. We've been here around 30,000 years. Europe was settled about 40,000 years ago. We were isolated from other humans long enough to develop a distinct DNA which takes around 7,000-10,00 years of isolation. Just like a bird that migrates and changes it becomes a different bird and is considered native to that area the same is true for human groups. Same is true for plants. Humans are a species of animal so our classification works the same way. Yes we are native to the area because our distinct DNA isn't found anywhere else. Yes we're Indigenous.

@matiasluukkanen7718 So tired of the "plague blanket" myth. Germ theory wasn't even known about then. There's zero evidence that happened. There's one sentence about blankets to a single settlement that's used to keep it alive. No my land was not "stolen". We went to war and we lost. Which is what happened in the case of most tribes. Stop putting other tribe's histories onto every single one. You're disrespecting my warrior ancestors by claiming they were stupid and just gave our land away. It's extremely racist and based on the "nobel savage" mentality. We're not a humongous group and we killed each other everyday. Several tribes had to be relocated from their original reservations because they were next to a tribe they'd been at war with and kept killing each other. So if the government really had been trying to genocide us they would have let it keep going. You know nothing of our histories, our beliefs, or our culture but somehow believe you can tell others all about it.

@thequackpackattack9250 We didn't face genocide. No more so than any peoples do during a war. So you want to remove our autonomy too? Most reservations have water from treatment plants just like you. There are a handful that live in very isolated areas that don't and lack electricity but it's very few. Due to our autonomy the tribe has to pay for utilities to be run out to the reservation just like you'd have to if you built a house. If they aren't close enough to a town that's not an option. Then they use well water and septic systems which are also common in rural populations in the US regardless of race. No offense but we don't want your "help". Everytime people "help" it ends up in dead Natives or our land trashed because you don't clean up your garbage.

@justhere232 Fought and lost. Just like that land belonged to a different tribe until they lost. Welcome to how war has worked until very very recently and still does even now. Edit: People like you think you can dictate how others should feel when what they did gets done back to them. My tribe told the countless tribes we conquered join or die and you think I'm supposed to be angry that the English said the same to us when we were finally conquered. So am I also supposed to feel guilt that my ancestors eliminated and subjugated over 40 tribes too since you expect people who's families weren't even here at the time to do?
