@darkharlezucreek Your personal antecedent has no bearing on the statistics of single mothers. The vast majority of divorces are not due to abuse and today most single mothers were never married to begin with.

@GLoLChibs How dare we use statistics to talk about a real problem with the culture! We should shut up because there are outliers. That's not how anything works. That's not how we improve society to create better outcomes for children.

@HunniebeeGames A lot of them do. Roe v Wade was only recently overturned, so yeah, they chose it. My body my choice, right? Ya'll don't get to say abortion is a human right and then pretend you don't have choices. Edit: Sorry but women today don't get to claim they don't need men and can do everything and then pretend they have no agency when faced with the consequences of their decisions.

@GLoLChibs Society has never viewed single mothers and widows the same. Widows were always held in high regard and single mothers shamed. They are not the same thing as much as you want them to be. Widows enjoy the support of both families, churches, organizations, etc because it occurred due to no actions of their own so therefore isn't a consequence of any decision they made. They are a victim of circumstances. Single women aren't because they played a direct role by their own choices and actions. Edit: They aren't expected to remarry either. Not doing so is looked on as a testament to their love and devotion to their lost spouse.

We have a tradition of having your favorite meal on your birthday. I've had to cook mine since I was sixteen. It's BBQ chicken, potato salad, and deviled eggs. My mom was still around. She would only do the chicken, the easy part, because I made better potato salad and deviled eggs than her. So this woman making cupcakes can miss me with this crap. My oldest son's and husband's favorite meal is chicken and dumplings (I have to make two giant pots because they eat one between the two of them) and my youngest son's is spaghetti which is easy in the crock pot. Meanwhile, she's crying about cupcakes? Witch! I made those almost weekly. Get out of here with your lazy self.
