  3. @Cora Barker Some was, some we lost to wars, and some we willingly handed over. This "stolen land: being spouted by these people isn't held by most Natives. When we speak of stolen land, it's land lost from broken treaties. Those are being settled and delt with in the courts. We don't need anyone to fight our battles for us. We do not hold white people responsible for the bad acts of the government and these people don't have the authority to speak for us.

So nothing you claim is based on facts. I'm not white before you try. I'm Native, the actual poorest race in the US that were also the first slaves.

  6. We need to redo how we teach history here. Unfortunately all our books are based on Woodrow Wilson's history books and he intentionally removed all positive figures of other races. That, I think, would fix a lot. Most don't know that a major military leader in the Revolution was black. My ancestors followed him on Bunker Hill and died for him. We need to teach that ALL races owned slaves, not just white people. That not being able to abolish slavery was one of the main reasons we broke with England. There's so much more than Tubman and MLK people need to know.

  7.  @Danny-mp8dq  Breaking something down like jobs based only on race is nearly impossible when there are far more factors that go in. It creates the same problem with the wage gap. You pay attention to just sex and exclude everything else and thus a large wage gap that isn't really there is shown. Experience, education, grades, etc all factor into the job market. If people weren't hired based only on their race, there would be millions of lawsuits as well as that being against the law.

  8. I grew up in the 80s and was beaten weekly because I'm noticeably Native. It was by black kids. I'm not racist and am actually friends now with many them because as they aged, they knew it was wrong. Just letting you know you're not alone. Edit to add: My brother had it worse and was pretty much daily. It got so bad for him my parents looked into private school that they'd both have to take a 2nd job to afford.

I started studying about it when I kept seeing certain words like equity and priviledge a few months ago. It's evil. The public library in Seattle just segregated and one college segregated registration. California has repealing Civil rights on the ballot and MLK's ideas are now racist.

  24. This is taught in college. It's those useless degrees in racial and women studies. It's in many high schools as well. It's usually required to graduate. It's been in some colleges since the 90s.
