@gelflingfay Does that mean they get help and a state doesn't? There's nothing " to be fair" about. Yes the US did help the last time. WTF? The Army corps of engineers was there for well over a year rebuilding bridges and roads. The governor got busted keeping relief in warehouses in stead of giving it to the people. Relief that was brought in on US military ships as soon as it was clear to do so that were waiting in nearby harbors. You have no idea what you're talking about. The "last time" Puerto Ricans were online mad because they didn't all have power restored yet, but neither did all of Florida even though it's easier to repair because it's on the mainland and the national grid. You're idea of didn't help when the US rebuilt their entire infrastructure is beyond ignorant. Edit: Next you're going to claim the US hasn't gotten it out of bankruptcy the 2 or 3 times their government has had to declare it because of corruption within Puerto Rico's government. If they need more "help", it should start with not embezzling it and trying to score political points with Democrats.

This is the same administration that tried to only give help to black farmers during the pandemic so it's not surprising. That too was considered disaster relief.

@TheOfficialPatriarchy Equity: The quality of being fair. Life isn't fair. People are taller, better looking, have different talents, etc. Those are the biases they are referring to. In order to make it fair, everyone must be completely equal and those biases removed. They know what they are saying and by you attempting to pretend that they've changed it in some way isn't true. It's always meant equal outcomes. It's been used in regards to Communism for decades because that's the promise of it. We'll all just be equally poor and hungry.
