Agreed. Almost every study saying they work is based on models or just case rate without any other factor figured in. The ones that say they don't used control groups and real world settings. Plus the positive ones aren't taking into account what type of mask. No study shows a piece of cloth having any significant impact unless you consider less than 10% significant.

@austinbyrd4164 Open borders are not economically great. It would be if you have unlimited resources which we don't. It would require more food imported and other basic needs. The flood of low skill workers would drive down wages while demand for products would go up creating higher prices. That's not even taking into account the increase in violence because you'd have people from areas that have been hostile to each other for centuries now living beside each other. Do you think they'll just magically love each other once they leave their current areas, not because they like it here, but just for financial gain? You're just as naive as far leftists wanting a utopia. Utopia for who? Edit: Plus how can you claim to be for private property rights ( a foundation of Libertarianism) and be for open borders? Private property includes your borders.

I think it was intended to be at some point. I can't imagine China funding research on something that wouldn't be useful in that capacity somehow down the road. The question is if it's release was intentional or accidental when it happened. Especially considering they knew about it and still encouraged their population to travel all over the world. So if not intentionally released, they certainly took advantage of it.

@KyleTheDalek All of that was in the 2nd half of his 2nd term when his alzheimer's got bad. That's why he seemed like a totally different President then. Much like now, it was the Cathedral calling most of the shots.
