@LavenderBlue-g1j Loved Little Women. Each girl had a different ambition so all were represented. It also taught that what you think you want might not really be what's best for you later.

I agree. Some of these books are graphic too. This is happening because of DEI (I prefer DIE as more accurate). It's why the Oscar's have now put those as more important in a movie getting an award than if it's good art or impacts how films are made. That's been the case in literature for awhile and why a completely fake story like 1619 got a Pulitzer.

@petman515 I've loved manga and anime for years. It becoming mainstream is troubling though. Whenever something becomes popular these people attack it until they bully their way in and destroy it. With Funimation now having complete control of what anime gets brought and dubbed/subbed the high seas will be calling. They already have changed dialogue to "westernize" it and add in messaging before.

@glasshalffull8625 If it's true that 90% of librarians are leftist, that would explain the attitude. My father was an LEO in Cobb county Georgia. He only pulled his gun once because it was a hostage situation and that's what procedure calls for, I've got a picture of him arresting Santa for drunk and disorderly.

A poll found that 51% of women want to be stay at home mothers and wives. That's not what was expected. The lockdowns showed women how nice that is despite the messaging being shoved down our throat. I've regularly come under attack online because I chose to be a SHM. I've been told I offer nothing to society, that I'm worthless. etc.

Those book are being removed from, I know, school libraries. They're put on back shelves and eventually removed due to lack of use. Anything old written by huwhite men in particular are considered bad. They're labeled racist and misogynist. Edit: Just look at what they're doing to LOTR at Amazon. They believe Tolkien's work needs to "fixed".
