@MrMakabar I wasn't aware Lybia and Yemen had tons of oil. Plus Syria was to stop Russia from building a pipeline.

@samdis1890 "colonialist rhetoric" tells me you're an identitarian leftist, not a libertarian since libertarianism is based on those horrible colonialist ideas. If you hate those ideals then you don't follow them.

@juanmangasmochas1533 I think had they not used the WMD thing and instead went with the fact he was in violation of the agreement he signed to stop Desert Storm most people would have been behind it. His selling to Germany, France, and whoever the 3rd country was along with not providing records of destroying his weapons piles and denying inspections should have been enough if the UN had a backbone anymore. He'd thumbed his nose at the regulations he agreed to to prevent a war and faced zero consequences. It was no different than breaking a peace treaty. We dropped the ball by not completing what we started and pulling everything out far too early. We should have continued to rebuild the country and help nurture it on it's path to democracy.
