I always question them why that life is worth more to them than the ones committing suicide because of the lockdowns, the increase in child abuse, the loss of learning for children, and the millions that will starve to death worldwide. I point out that they are saying that to look like they care, when in reality it's to cover their own fear of death. That they are willing to sacrifice millions in an attempt to maybe protect themselves from something we have no real control over.

  2. Other things are essential so I'm not sure why you're connecting the word to only people. This is the first time I've seen it connected to people. It was always only applied to services or needs. Water is essential for life, air is essential, etc.

  3. No. It was October 17, 1979. That's when it became an independent department and got a department head. Before that, states were in control of their education systems. The previous incarnation of it was only to collect information and give advice. Now it has force behind it and controls funding.

  4. Depends on your age range. For the general population it's 99.97% survivable. For those above 70 it goes to about 3%. For young children it's less deadly than the flu.

  5. They were by Trump in an effort to force schools back open. Unfortunately the Unions say no. This is why I'm against unions for government employees. They are using my tax dollars to hold people hostage.
