They're currently going after an Amish farmer. It's an attempt to further expand the commerce clause so they can regulate even small family farms. For example right now I purchase half a cow from a local rancher. That rancher drops the cow off at the processor, they cut it my specifications, and I pick it up packaged and frozen. I purchase the cow seperate from the processor. No different than if I bring them a deer I hunted. They're trying to force that to now go through federal inspections just like is required for grocery stores. That was put in so people would feel safer and have a guarantee it was a certain standard because they weren't buying directly from the producers. If they succeed, there will be no more farmer markets, buying from stands on roadsides, or going to your local farm to pick up fresh food. It will destroy local and family farms.

Yes. That case against the Amish farmer is worrying. I buy my meat from local ranchers. It's a lot cheaper and better quality. On average I pay between $3-$4 per pound no matter the cut of beef.

@STho205 He's got stocks and several properties. We simply moved states halfway through the year and had to hire one to do them.

@Br3ttM That's state or local. Federally it's still legal, for now. Those should be rules that the population can change if enough people want to. Start a petition and get it on the ballot.

One time the sorting machine messed up and ate everyone's water bill. They put a notice in the paper about and delivered any tiny portion of the bill they could find. The whole town had late fees from the water company because they don't care why it's late and the government isn't going to pay for their mistake.

Oh yes. It's our fault we're in a recession. We are saving instead of spending. Just ignore that the "savings" are 401ks and retirement funds we'd already been putting the same amount into so we can afford to eventually exit the employment market. We don't need that. Spend it because the government screwed up the economy and it's your fault.
