@wakkaseta8351 That makes zero sense. Money goes to a charity organization. Nobody involved in a charity event should be expecting a handout so I have no idea where somebody not wanting one even applies. Charity doesn't force people to take a handout. They've got to apply for help from it. If you don't want your time or money going to a charity, simply don't participate.

@GHOSTWRITERL Legally charity organizations have to donate 7-10% to whatever it's for to maintain their tax-exempt status. Creator Clash was never tax-exempt. Calling it a charity event is actually false advertising and illegal.

Now that they've clearly marked the charity as separate from the event, they need to stop calling it a charity event or that it's for charity. That's false advertising and it's why people thought and will continue to think part of what the ticket price will go to charity.

The fighters only got the money to compensate for paying for training and stuff. There were no bonuses for CC2 even though they were promised one. The money was spent on the venue, promotion, and the parties.

@SticksAandstonesBozo The fact that people think if the 1% gave every penny they have to that that it wouldn't only have a short impact is beyond me. Once that money is gone, it's gone forever. Even if did that for a year, what happens after that? Limited resources will be even more limited because the agricultural market in those places would be destroyed. Farmers would have sold their land since they'd just lose money planting and there'd be a major famine. Now the 1% doesn't have any money to help.
