@adammonks591 As your own post says ceremonial. These weren't ceremonial troops. None of that is true in modern warfare. When we stood in formations to fight before modern warfare. It was also intentional to prevent it looking like a show of force that the countries Hasan was praising does. Edit: This was a celebration to HONOR and show appreciation for the 250 years the Army has served to protect the population. It wasn't to show off something. It was for them. Not us.

At least back then they had the decency to isolate themselves.

@ThePopo4 Only 2 out of hundreds if not thousands have done that. That's terrible odds.

If they were they'll be punished. Protesting isn't allowed in uniform of any kind. It also would fall under conduct unbecoming. They're looking at demotions and reduced pay. A blackmark on their record that'll make it difficult to advance. I'm sure if that's true they really appreciate all you posting it so it'll get back to their superiors. Military personnel watch YouTube.

@thelos3999 "Petty and spiteful?" Yes. Having dated several military men as well as had family that's served since the Revolution and before, that's called unbecoming conduct and can face serious repercussions in the military. It's against the code of conduct. You're not allowed to protest in uniform.

How is saying don't burn stuff down and stay out of the street harmful? He even praised the ones in Florida for NOT doing that and pointed out where the ones doing it were at. Antfia staying in the streets late at night to cause destruction should be something anyone condones. Especially the other protesters because it doesn't do the any favors.

No they weren't. They were doing it because they barely do marching anymore and because it was supposed to NOT look like NK or the CCP. Edit: All the ones smiling and waving were definitely doing malicious compliance. This isn't new. A lot have a few participate in Christmas parades in the town the base is in. Plus it was celebrate the Army's 250th anniversary just like the 200th was done.

@MyNamesHunter75 That's always been the case. People acting like it's new is wild. Leftists have always hated and openly demonstrated against any and all military personnel. My cousin had "baby killer" spray painted on his truck in the early 2010s under Obama. They were told to remove any identifiable stickers or anything off their vehicles and houses because they were being targeted. I also saw many very appreciative. Smiling and waving. They better get over it because next year is 250th anniversary of independence and that lasts all year. Edit: Since the entire division and units aren't in it, it's usually by volunteer. So if they didn't want to they shouldn't have done it.

Looking at all the comments complaining about the marching so I went back and rewatched the parade. They weren't out of unison. Occasionally one would get out of step, but immediately got back in. I have no idea what people are talking about. The Army just doesn't march in high step or raising their knees. Because they're infantry they march like a marching band which is flat footed to prevent losing your footing. It's heel toe, heel, toe. Your foot is only slightly and briefly off the ground. It's for sure footing. The only time marching bands high step is taking the field and to draw attention to a particular segment. Like the Army, it's about sure footedness on possibly slipper fields.

@AnonymousCrow-f8t This was budgeted for by Obama before he left office. The commission for planning the 250th celebrations for this year and next have been working on this for years. It was also sponsored like the Easter events and other events. Edit: Most of that was the wages of those that participated which they'd be paid for anyway. It was just moving money for the same thing from one area to another. Looking at your past comments, you're clearly a leftist. It's been hilarious watching the side wanting to give tax money to illegals complain about cost.
1
@thelos3999 Looking at your other comments you are also clearly a leftist. Pressing X to doubt on yours and the other Hasan glazers. Edit: You're other comments are defending Idubzz and defending not wanting ICE raids. Having lived in a town where a business was raided 3 times by 3 different presidents, I'm well aware of what they're like and they're fine.

Nobody is being illegally detained. There'd be lawsuits flying. They're being taken after their hearing when they've been given deportation orders so they don't have to waste time and money looking for them later. The government is not overreaching. In history class when Eisenhower deployed the National Guard in Arkansas to enforce desegregation were you calling it overreach? They are frequently deployed in the US by the president during civil unrest and to enforce federal law. That's why the courts have said he hasn't done anything wrong. Families aren't being "torn apart" unless you're talking about adults. Parents are taking their children with them precisely to prevent that argument. Next you're going to say something about due process. They've all received it. If they're illegally here, their due process is a judge looking at their file and their lack of proof of legal entry. The judge then gives a deportation order. If they already have deportation orders they received their due process already and will be immediately deported because they failed to comply with the court order. If you don't like their due process, take it up with Congress not the president because that's what body created it. There's a reason Trump's favorability hasn't gone down through this. This IS what was voted for even if you and some others don't like it. His polls on immigration have gone up. Just because a small segment of the population doesn't agree doesn't mean we toss out our laws.

That old lady is hilarious. These are the same people that cry about wages and rail about workers being exploited as they complain they can't exploit the cheaper labor driving down wages. Also, most of the 1% voted against Trump for the exact reason she's complaining about.

This wasn't ceremonial. This wasn't for nothing. It was to celebrate 250 years of the Army being here. There was a much bigger one on the 200th anniversary. That said, I watched their feet. They weren't out of sync as much as people are saying. They just don't lift their knees like the Marines do. Their marching has always been more similar to a shuffle. My kids were in marching band and they always won awards. That's how they marched except when it was to intentionally draw attention to a certain move. Then they'd lift up their knees higher, but regular marching is flat footed to prevent slips. Edit: I think people were watching their knees instead of their feet. Because they're different heights that makes it look off. Their feet were in unison.

@starrenPI "Slavery was bad." "No! Don't take our slaves!"

Unfortunately it's Seattle. One guy went to prison for defending himself against Antifa there already.

He literally is not. There have been elections since he took office. You're going to need to justify that claim. You can't just claim something with zero proof. He hasn't defied court orders like Biden did multiple times. Hasn't openly said he knows what he's about to do violates the Constitution but is going to do it anyway like the previous president. How exactly is he "literally ending democracy in America"? Whenever I see that I automatically know it's someone in dire need of a civics lesson.

I got whiplash.

I kept seeing people in chat saying they weren't in unison but I didn't see it. Every once in awhile someone would get out of step but it wasn't very many or horrible. They just weren't lifting their knees like Marines do because the Army marches from their hip.
