I think it's hilarious they are accusing the fans of gatekeeping when they are the ones that bought it and control it. Like we have some type of mystical powers to force them to not ruin it.

You must not have been to university lately to make that claim. I'll also point out his works aren't performed anymore and certainly not in Hollywood. What you think is coming from him, movies set in modern day that echo Taming of the Shrew for example, aren't taken from his work but inspired by the previous movies that did it before them. The ones making them have no idea it's a take on his work at all. They are rarely taught anymore. If you read the comments, you'd know he's being and has been removed from most English Literature courses because he's a huwhite man and that's been going on since I was in college 20 years ago. He doesn't enjoy the status you seem to think he does in the last generations. Edit: You also fail to realize the people highlighted in this video are professors currently teaching on university campuses and what they're talking about at this conference is what they're teaching.

It was my major in college 20+ years ago and it was acknowledged that they aren't a science and that's why you got a Bachelor of Art instead of Bachelor of Science. It's extremely imprecise and doesn't follow the Scientific Method.

@Bilboshaggins30 The Wheel of Time is one of the worst. I don't understand what point you think you're making. These are different shows done by different people. Amazon is just the backer. The only reason they are doing Rings of Power is because Bezos demanded a GoT type show so that's what's this will be. We already know they've broken canon because Celeborn is dead in it, yet he's alive and well in LotR book and movie. Elves can't resurrect so it's already in breach of contract with the Tolkien estate because not messing with canon was one of the stipulations in the contract. Then there's the very real issue with The Boys being written, green lit, and in production before the current trend in entertainment really got a big foothold.
