  1. That's the odd thing with this one. Amazon and Bezos said they wanted it to attract a 100 million worldwide audience. It really is that Bezos wanted a cultural phenomenon like GoT was for his own ego. He wanted that with his name and company attached to it. So no, this isn't like Obi Wan where they're intentionally destroying established characters so people will like their new ones so they get all the merchandise money. It really was intended to be good. Just they've all forgotten what good is. Edit: The Little Platoon does a great explanation. It's a 2 hour video, but his take on why Bezos and the showrunners made this is the first little bit in the introduction. I think it's insightful. He makes the case, that unlike other shows where the people associated with it don't know or like the source material, he has no doubt they truly love Tolkien. They just don't understand why.

  2.  @waynetech10  I can understand that because it's a throwback more to the original character as a detective since DC is Detective Comics. He was originally the world's greatest detective before he became known as the dark knight. He wasn't a millionaire playboy or anything like has been portrayed in more recent movies. I've always preferred that Batman to his more modern incarnation so I enjoyed it despite its flaws. Edit: Alfred, as an example, wasn't an old butler that helped him out in that one. He's a former MI6 who wasn't a butler, but was close with his father so took up protecting him after his parents were killed. He's who taught him everything he knows. This would have been Batman's first time really putting those skills to the test so he's still learning and isn't as overpowered as the character is now.

  3. The article talking about the sword being just like the dagger in WoT and so they just blamed Jordan of copying Tolkien when that's not in Tolkien and it's the writers adding Jorden in.

  6. They'd stopped filming a bit ago and moved everything to England. I'm not sure it's started back up again.
