I'm not going to count them out yet. They've made a comeback from a similar situation before. I seriously doubt there's enough of the old school ones remaining in any leadership position to do that though. Looking at the recent DNC chair elections, it's pretty grim. This is why I've always and will always be an independent. At some point, neither party represents my best interests so I don't owe either one loyalty.

@noelvoss6744 Considering they're the oldest party, it's probably best a new one rises up and takes it's place. They've got a history of repeating this similar pattern so better one that doesn't have that baggage come a long. This is the 2nd time in my lifetime they've gone with the far left and pushed too far (Siding with violent aspects, putting criminals over victims, and allowing a lot of unfettered illegal immigration) and I'm only 50. They made promises and deals when the Republicans demolished them that time that they refuse to honor. Way too much baggage.

As a Trump voter, I'd never vote Fetterman for president. Even if he's not as crazy as the others, he couldn't handle speaking with foreign leaders. It would be a huge embarrassment. The only real possibility on that list is the Kentucky one. That's what they did last time they were in this kind of trouble. They got Clinton who was governor of Arkansas for several terms. I'm afraid 2028 would be too soon on him though because you'd want one that's been re-elected. I'm surprised the former Democrat governor of Louisiana wasn't on it, but he went against the Democrat party on Covid restrictions and worked with his Republican counterparts in the surrounding states. So that might be why they'd never look at him. I don't think they could humble that's enough to put up a candidate that went against them.
