I was taught about this failure in childhood development. Right along side how children in orphanages that weren't held suffered from mental retardation as a result. I'm starting to wonder what else they no longer teach because it's inconvenient.

@VaetanThought Why did you feel the need to hijack this thread on a discussion about the roots of gender theory and the documentary about the boys that was shown by a person in the profession with your own personal bs? Not everything needs to be about you or your "cause". You're an activist I get it, but that does belong in this discussion. It belongs in a video about that subject which this is not.

@SMRT79 That's now labeled as conversion therapy. Anything that doesn't affirm the gender identity can be filed as a complaint of that and your license removed for it. You're no longer allowed to look or even suggest underlying trauma that might be the actual cause. If you do, you can't frame it that way and instead have to find the trauma seperate from the gender identity. It's walking on eggshells which a therapist can't do if the patient is going to benefit.
