@dwwolf4636 I really hate the no true Scottsman. It's how communism works in practice. Therefore it was communism.

@dubstepXpower No because the billionaires will have to sell all their assets to give the money to the government. They're not saying seize assets. They're saying taking money they don't have. Edit: Even if they seized their assets, that's not going to pay for anything. They'd have to take out a loan against those assets and pay it back with interest. Meaning it wouldn't change anything. That's what billionaires do. They take out loans using the value of their assets as collateral.

@guinea_horn By universally do you mean worldwide? There just so happens to be one. It's based on where you sit percentage wise to the average. Hence why it's lower (below average), middle (within the average), and upper (above the average). Then it's broken down even further. Lower middle class (low end of the average spread) and upper middle class (high end of middle class, just below upper class). I sit currently in the top 8% of income. That makes me upper middle class. I have been in the lower 20% of earners which was in the lower class. How much you spend has no bearing on your class. It's what you make.

@Tyler-rj7bq Wrong. That's a bigger one. $25,000 is all first time homeowners. How is the federal government going to know if your grandparents ever owned a house, even if briefly? That's not recorded by the federal government. It's state and local records. Which means it's going to a be a free for all or a new agency created to collect that information from other governments. Edit: Hint: Who will the government know 100% didn't have homeownership in the US at any point in their recent family history?

@Earenzel0 Which is funny because that's mostly local and state government. Not federal.

The drug company claimed percacet (sp) wasn't nearly as addictive and much safer. Doctors prescribed them for short term pain like a twisted knee. Surprise! It was just as addictive. It had absolutely nothing to do with any other painkillers. They took it off the market and then a black market exploded around them. Rather than go after the black market and the few doctors that kept writing prescriptions, they put massive regulations which have really only hurt those like me and the black market continues to thrive. Fentynal isn't just being sold as a painkiller. It's being laced into a lot of drugs that don't have that effect.
