@saysikerightnow3914 On the FAA website they said they were prioritizing disabled. Listed sight impaired, speech impediment, etc as what they were seeking because they had too few disabled in the department. We do know it was under staffed that night. Significantly so. Which means absenteeism and how people being out is covered policy wise needs to be looked at. Unfortunately there's a Union. Even though I'm fairly pro Union, I'm 100% against them when it comes to government workers. This is a good example of why. It allows the worker to have too much control when other people's safety is involved. Creating worker benefits that might directly jeopardize safety. Like absentee policies. Because it's a Union, it's very difficult to address them until the next contract negotiations.

@Orangnus There were 2 planes. They likely confirmed seeing the other plane that was still a decent distance away. It's kind of hard to see a plane almost directly below you. Even IF they saw the plane, it's still on traffic control because they obviously were too close and it's their job to tell them that and direct them safely away. I'm not understanding this desire to let the people responsible for controlling how each aircraft moves completely off the hook. This is one of if not the most dangerous corridors as far as traffic goes. Controlling and directing it is what pilots rely on to prevent collisions. Relying on depth perception isn't going to cut it.

That was a small aircraft. Unfortunately carrying a sick child. So not the same. It was no where near landing or other planes so likely a problem with the aircraft. Edit: Plane crashes always happen in 3s. So there will be one more or already was one.

@frogking5573 A training flight shouldn't take place in the most dangerous corridor in the US. There are plenty of bases it can be done from and completely different areas in that vicinity to do it. I don't think some people fully understand how incredibly dangerous this corridor is.

Unfortunately, accidents happened. Just because airplane crashes don't happen anywhere near as often as car accidents, but they still happen. Edit: It's funny the leftists are all posting on BlueSky where no one will even see their reeees much less answer them or pay attention to them politically. Destiny's just happy something is distracting from his legal issues.
