@Levelingwithgods Dev is not right-wing. He has not hated Trudeau for years. He literally supported him in every election he was in. He defended what Trudeau did to the truckers. He calls himself an "enlightened centrist" whatever that is. He also supported Biden and Kamala. Considering you know absolutely nothing about Dev, but spoke with such authority, you're opinion about anything else is immediately discarded.

@Levelingwithgods "Your (you're) punishing the vice reporter (key word) for her opinion on a vtuber." Yes because she's a reporter which means she's bound by ethics and a duty to the public. Just like I'd punish, see they get fired, a teacher that was teaching students incorrectly. Free speech is not freedom from consequences of that speech. If your job is a reporter which means reporting news as unbiased as possible to inform the public, if you do it poorly there are real world consequences. Like said vtuber losing sponsors for a fan posting a picture on Twitter. You should be held responsible for the consequences you caused. Freedom of speech simply means the government can't arrest you for anything you say. It doesn't mean society doesn't have any standards of acceptable conduct. Edit: You're attempting to argue that someone can stand in front of someone screaming in their face and nobody can do anything because "free speech". Yeah, that's not how life works. Or even arguing that a parent can't go to the school board to get a teacher fired who just screams at the top of their lungs all day instead of teaching because it's their free speech.

@MommaOcco It's fine. It seemed to be coming from a genuine place. It wasn't really you as much the response right beneath it. That was a bad response to your confusion. Nobody expects everybody to be as deep in the weeds as some of us.

@Touma134 Then you have no principles. Centrist means the middle. The compromise between the two positions. If you're always searching for the compromise, you have no real opinion of your own beyond there being a compromise. The problem with your attempted claim about how everyone else is you're putting it into political party positions which is no different than the person blindly standing in the middle. That's not a principled position. I lean right. That does not magically mean I blindly follow a party regardless of policies. It means when I look at an issue MY principled position will lean to the right. It has nothing to do with your attempted smear that if you're not a centrist (compromising) then you blindly follow one of the two parties. We're called independents. We make up 40% of the voting public. The parties split the 60%. We're who decides elections. Edit: Maybe you don't understand that centrist is no different than saying Republican or Democrat or whatever parties you have. It's a political ideology of compromise between the two. Most people here are right leaning libertarians. No party really represents this ideology. While we may vote one party more often than another, it's based on our own personal principles.

6:37 Oh my God! Those people are claiming Fox did what the "reporter" actually did. I ran into so many people on FB like that starting in 2014-2015. It's why I never use it and don't have Twitter.

I'm glad they're figuring it out. It took 2 years for them to take my illness seriously and another 2 years until I started getting some relief. It took 15 for my diagnosis to be official. Hang in there!

@Jeg1041 No. He absolute is legitimately dumb. He thinks he's not, but he is. I've heard him say absolutely beyond stupid things while saying he'd researched it. If he researched it and knew better than the Supreme Court, I'll eat my shoe.

We used to have laws against this type of reporting for a reason. It's happening for the exact same reason it did then. Last time it caused a war. At least this time we have the ability to be informed enough that's extremely unlikely to occur, but it doesn't make it any better than it did then. There were 2 papers. They were competing for circulation and subscriptions. They started sensationalizing reports. Basically click baiting. It literally was what caused the US Mexican War because one of them reported a rumor that Americans had been killed on our side of the border. It caused an uproar and the government responded. That didn't happen. That paper went under and that's why the New York Post is the oldest publication and used to be the most trusted.

@adventurianist2580 Which is why you're being criticized. It was people like you not being engaged that allowed it to get where it has. One day it'll get to the point that once it's bad enough for you to engage, it'll be too late. You only have freedom for as long as you can defend it.
