  1. My youngest son is gay. He gets asked by younger people he works with why he didn't put it on his applications because he'd get hired immediately. He explained that first it's nobody's business and secondly he doesn't want to be hired based on that. That it's demeaning. They were confused but hopefully some of them take it to heart. Edit: We live in an area with a large Native population. While I am of that ancestry, I'm not an official member of a tribe so told my sons not to check it. My husband is Roma/Gypsy and it's reflected in the youngest. I worry that when he shows up in person they mistake him for Native and use that because he's gotten every job he has an in person interview with.

  2. Unfortunately once they become adults, if they get in with people and fall in that hole, there's not much you can do. You can be a great parent, do everything right, and have a kid that's just stupid.

  4. It's not really accepted in psychology. These things become a fade every few years and suddenly all these people claim to have them.

The one where the psychologist asked if they were ever uncomfortable in their body happens to young adults too and the same quick prescriptions and rhetoric about starting now will have better results. Like they're surgeons or something. It's especially affecting young people on the spectrum and ADHD because they're always uncomfortable.

  7. Oh the whole orcs are really black people thing. Your sister’s friend is just stupid. Ignore her and enjoy fantasy games. I could go into the mythology behind orcs which were created by Tolkien, but people like her don’t care. They just see an opportunity to try to force people to bow to them.
