So murderering someone for money, terrorism, etc is fine? You do understand they knew they'd be imprisoned and didn't care how that would impact you or your children together right? Meaning they don't care about you or them.

That's only for financial crimes or if you've bought stuff with proceeds of a crime. Like you buy something with money you stole from a bank. There are fines attached to many sentences that you'll have to pay but that's either paid from work in prison or once outside.
