  2. I hate the " we're a country of immigrants" crap. My family came before there was a country. Obviously, they didn't "immigrate" here. They settled in a British colony as citizens of Britain. They fought to break away and create their own country. Imagine telling every country that used to be Yugoslavia that they're "a country of immigrants" because they used to be part of a different country.
