@allnightfright619 That's called legislating from the bench and is why we end up with decisions like Roe vs Wade that have no legal basis. Feelings absolutely should not factor in for case law. It's one thing to have compassion for a defendant, it's a completely nother thing to set case law with no legal foundation.

@genericscout5408 I guess you missed recent decisions. Just last week they said in a decision that you have the right to defend yourself with a gun at home and away from your home. They also added that the 2nd Amendment applied to modern, and in common use, weapons. The opposite of what you just said.
