Why would I expect the President to come put me out if I was on fire? That’s such an odd thing to judge a leader by. It’s just as ignorant as voting because they’re someone you could have a beer with. I don’t need my leader to be relatable. I need them to show strength and intimidation to countries wishing my country harm and to enact policies that improve the lives of citizens. Not people that don’t live here or sacrifice the well-being of citizens for non citizens. Edit: It’s not the Confederate flag in the first place. It’s a battle flag. It was redefined in the 80s and 90s as the Rebel flag. Lots of black people wore it back then too. It’s why Bill Clinton had it on campaign pins and had it at rallies to attract the youth vote. It’s really weird how Democrats talk about redefining and reclaiming words or symbols but ignore that being done if it can be used as a political tool. When it’s used as a symbol of rejecting the current group in power when that’s Republicans it’s fine. When it’s used as the same when Democrats are in charge it’s evil again.

To Biden’s manufacturing stuff I unfortunately know too much about that. Where I live there’s a huge manufacturing plant that’s almost completed. They’ve spent $150 million so far. It’s been put on hold because they can’t get all the tax credits Biden’s bill promised worked out. Red tape and just slow as hell responses to each step. I live in a red state and that’s not in even remotely to becoming a swing state. I’m curious how many such things are occurring in other such states. I’d love to see a geographical breakdown of where approval for the manufacturing they keep bragging about is on a state by state basis. I’ve got a sneaky suspicion they’ve almost exclusively been in areas Democrats need to sway or maintain voter wise.
