@actualideas8078 Socialism is an economic system. We have a mixed economy, but mostly capitalist. So no we aren't a socialist country. Conservativism would be based on each government or culture because it means to conserve something. It's not some blanket thing. The country was founded on the idea of small federal government and protection from said government. It was founded on very liberal ideas all based on the enlightenment. The founders would have fallen into the libertarian category today or what's referred to as classic liberalism, depending on the particular person. Since that's what the country was founded on, that would be what's being conserved. You'd love Ian on Timcast IRL because he's constantly linking everything to the Federal Reserve. It's annoying because doing away with it at this point would be economic suicide. You, like the SJW mob, need to realize you can't change history and must work with the system as it exists today in order to make any changes to the system for the future. You can't base policy on attempting to correct the past because you can't fix it and attempting to fix the past, that a lot of current policies rest on, would do more damage in the long term. Instead smaller policies that can be built upon is much more effective for the here and now as well as the future.
