@demaals A multigenerational home isn't children doing chores. It's adult children having a job and helping pay the bills. For example 4 generations lived in this house and the bills were split between the adults. Me and my husband paid the bulk of them, my mother paid the home insurance, and her and my grandmother split the property tax and my grandmother paid the water bill. Both of them were elderly and widowed. The property was in my grandmother's name so by your proposal only she would be allowed to vote even though we all paid taxes. So I would have no voice in how the country was run, which directly affected me and my children far more than my mother or grandmother since I was the one paying federal taxes. You brush off something because it's obviously something you know nothing about which is clear by your children doing chores bs. Living like that isn't uncommon in certain communities like rural areas, Hawaii, and Hispanics. It's not at all unusual to have a single home like that or to have multiple homes on a few acres. My grandmother's family ranch was like that with 3 houses on the over 100 acres and my grandfather's family farm was split between the children with each getting 2.5 acres.
