@BimmerBros It's not. Especially if there's a detailed description of the character's appearance and it's from a specific culture. It might not be such a big deal if it was fine to do the other way, but it isn't. If we're going to create the standard that only Asians can play an Asian character, Latino play Latino, gay play gay, etc it should apply across the board. It doesn't though and only one is allowed to be changed. That's called discrimination and if you're fine with that okay, but others aren't.

Song of the South was done so carefully by Walt. He called in experts and leaders to make sure it wasn't what they now say it is. Then again I remember when they pulled Fantasia out of theaters because overweight people were offended by the hippos.

There is no longer Snow White's Very Scary Adventure ride in the US. The one at DisneyWorld was removed and the one at Disneyland was changed in 2021(I think that was the year). He claiming to riding it everytime and being a part of her childhood is false because it's not the same ride and she'd know that if that was true.
