  1. I figured out what the showrunners don’t understand or whoever is responsible for this. Tolkien is high fantasy. That means power means magic power and brute strength is seen as less than and even barbaric. Instead they’ve made it low fantasy which is magic very sporadic and regulated to only a select few. GoT is low fantasy because magic is rarely used and it’s mostly about what would be considered normal people in a slightly fantasy setting. Tolkien’s world is full of magic and we’ve yet to experience it in this show and the setting is mostly a normal things.
