@echobase6372 Then they can't afford to bring in a bunch of Visa holders either. Which they're begging to be able to do.

Because most CEOs of billion dollar companies are now Indian. They're the largest demographic in CEO and high management positions.

It depends. Do you have a specialized skill in a niche area. Is there some new machine that you know how to work that very few people do? If not. No. I'll also say openly I have a problem importing people from the country with the largest slave population in the world. One that every system is based on discrimination and racism.

@kev3d "US citizens have the same opportunities." False. This shows how little you know about businesses and federal government loan incentives. Loans are given to immigrants at lower interest rates and fewer strings. Similar to government backed student loans, but not quite as bad. It's why my town of 18,000 had 20 new Mexican restaurants where 1 person could speak English. They'd stay open barely a year, close, and reopen under a different name with one of the former employees as the owner. If it fails within a given amount of time, they don't have to pay back the loan. They are barred from another one for a few years so they just cycle through the group. That's not an opportunity available to Americans. POC have a similar one, but it's only partially forgiven. Edit: The person taking out the loan also doesn't have to have legal status. They just have to do a bit of paperwork.

Why can't I say I don't want a population who is fine with slavery, discrimination, and racism? The US used to limit interactions with countries that had those types of laws. Especially slavery. Now we're so chummy we're bringing in about half a million a year. Anyone who says not wanting a culture that's antithetical to American beliefs is racist needs to go try to live there and find out what that really looks like. I'm "racist" for not wanting to import racists. Make it make sense. Edit: Every aspect of Indian life is built around the caste system. A system built on racial superiority. I don't want that here and I'm not sorry for saying so.

That X "employee" is a known troll account. It's their whole thing.

That's supposed to be a component of the requirement for one. Unfortunately it's not being enforced. Congress just based a bill in an attempt to stamp out the massive fraud.

@6666Azazel I just checked the average pay from 2019 to today. It's the same. It hasn't increased. It might have at a couple of companies, but it hasn't in the majority. 5 years and zero increase even though inflation has been high and most are located in California. It's about $130,000, which is crazy. My husband and son make more than that as an operator at oil refineries.

@HarryF-tz5fo That's because back then it was fairly new so companies would invest in searching out talent. There were some college programs, but not enough. So they'd search for talent and degrees weren't required. Anybody that showed promise could get some training. They don't do that anymore. Then make stupid comments like Musk did saying if you need school you've already lost when every single one of his businesses requires a degree.

@newjerseylion4804 The legislation says they're not supposed to make less than $60,000 too. Yet, going through the public available information, a lot are making $30,000 or less. It's so bad, even Democrats just passed a bill in Congress to force companies to provide more information on them because there's so much fraud. They couldn't enforce it with the previous legislation.
