I guess pomegranates are too spicy for children. It's so unbelievably innuendo heavy no kid is going to understand it. I know. I was a kid that read it. It's not really much different than lots of poems and old stuff kids are exposed to in literature. It's a way to dodge to keep from admitting they're technically breaking the law by exposing children to pr0n. CP in some cases. At least drawn CP.

It's so annoying calling it a ban. Next time somebody needs to bring up all the books they've " banned". Like To Kill a Mockingbird, Huckleberry Finn, etc. It's insane to me that they're complaining about books being removed that are listed as 18+ on Amazon because it's illegal to expose minors to pr0n.

School boards also have a say. None of them are even deciding what anyone can read. They're deciding what books take up valuable space in small school libraries. The way they act, every book ever printed should be available in the small room designated as the library in the school.

@unluckygamer_2.o151 That's because the state didn't become authoritarian like some did and remove the ability for cities and the citizens in them to decide for themselves. Your city decided to enforce regulations which is who it should be up to. The governments with the most power over you are supposed to be ranked as local, followed by state, and then federal which should have the least. The founders set it up that way because local government officials have to face the people they govern everyday.

I was in Arkansas in a smaller rural town. The only thing enforced there was the restaurant restrictions and that's because the restaurants didn't want to lose their business licenses. Even then it was only 3 weeks before the very few businesses that were closed reopened. The city didn't have any masking stuff because the police informed the mayor they weren't the mask police and had way more important things to do. Edit: Unlike many places we elect our chief of police. He's not appointed by the mayor so answers to the people instead of them.

I've seen them do that repeatedly to people like Tim Pool. They'll come on his show, get destroyed, then declare themselves the winner the next day on theirs. They know their audiences won't watch an evil right-winger so they can spin it however they want.

Whitmer has about as good of chance as Newsome in getting elected. She wouldn't let her population even buy seeds during the lockdowns. She doesn't have a particularly good record. Tim Walz has already said he's probably going to run which is hilarious. I think Democrats won't choose a woman again for a while.
