  1. The FBI wouldn't. They don't have jurisdiction over a city/county misdemeanor. It has to be a federal crime or you cross state lines during the commission of a crime.

  2. You're trying to claim every corrupt politician in Illinois has been convicted? Then that would mean most of them. It's the most corrupt state. By convictions is so there's proof of the claim rather than just saying it is. Historically it's the most corrupt state. Just because there's corruption off and on in other states doesn't make it more corrupt than the one that's always been that way. DC isn't a state. It's tiny too. You also need to distinguish between the federal part of DC and the independent district. Edit: You also don't seem to understand they were convicted because the corruption was so open and blatant it had to be delt with. It doesn't mean they've ever actually cleaned it up.

  3. Oh honey. Corruption in Chicago didn't start 5 years ago. It's always been corrupt and rampant. Just some officials have an ounce of shame and attempt to hide it and some don't. The entire state, for the most part, is corrupt as heck. It only crawled into the shadows briefly because it made national headlines when the governor sold Obama's Senate seat and went to jail for it. They were just waiting for the spotlight to move back off of them.
