  3. NYC doesn't really get tsunamis or have a monsoon season making it neccessary to prevent rivers from flooding the city. What exactly does that have to do with the proper maintenance of 100 or so year old infrastructure?

  4.  @MrJpmoneypants  The federal government does help fund roads and infrastructure. It's obviously not the bulk of the money, but they do give state and local governments funding for it. That's how the federal government forced Louisiana to change the drinking age from 18 to 21. They were going to remove their federal funding for roads. The federal government also helped pay for the upkeep on the levees in New Orleans, but the local officials were skimming it and doing minimal repairs which is why they failed during Katrina.

  5. For bridges they do. They'll celebrate the reopening of one after it's been closed for repairs or a major overhaul. Unfortunately you can't hold a ribbon cutting below ground in the dark.

When was the last time you personally went to Paris to determine it's condition? Or even be able to see the decline from several visits? My guess is never. So explain how they're responsible for Seattle too since they're the cause of everything. Edit: Iran not obtaining a nuclear weapon is in the best interest of 90% of the Middle East. You not knowing Muslims of different sects cause the most death and wars to other Muslims shows how ignorant you are about that area of the world. They're just as likely to target Saudi Arabia or Qatar after Israel.
