To everyone in the comments, they're not Muslim. They are a band of Gypsies, though a small band. Judging by the dress, they're immigrants because the ones in the US don't dress like that anymore. The men wear jeans and the women wear normal dresses if they're from here or Canada. There are small groups of them that still travel (hence the traveling thieves), but most have houses here. You've probably seen them and never even known it. Edit: They've probably already left the area and moved to the next. They don't stay around long. Once they're noticed, like the TV report, they leave. They would have been staying in a nearby RV park or camp ground.

The ones in the US don't dress like that. They dress fairly normally, but yes, they're Gypsies. Looks like immigrants. The ones here generally don't do that. The very few that still travel will run a con here and there, but mostly just do odd jobs. Paving driveways, roofing, etc. The vast majority assimilated. There's still a few hundred that live the traveling lifestyle across the country, but most settled down and left the community. It's also very rare to see full blooded like that.

The ones in the US don't look or dress like that. They tend to dress pretty regularly just flamboyant. My husband is part and a British guy that came into the restaurant my son was working at was the only person to ever realize my son is part. He's blonde haired and blue eyed with skin that's very white just like his dad. The youngest I could understand because with me being part Native combined with that, he ended up with more olive skin. Most of them in the US and Canada look like my family instead of those women because they've been here since WWII and become mixed.
