@djm5687 No he wouldn't and she didn't do anything wrong or say anything wrong. Misconduct would be in allowing evidence that shouldn't be, giving prejudicial instructions to the jury, or something else procedural. When it's time for the Judge to speak during sentencing, they can say pretty much anything they want. I've seen them call defendants evil, devils, lecture them, etc. Her comments were nothing any other judge would have made. In fact given his history and appearing before her earlier, it was extremely mild.

@XavierAway No it can't. Mistrial is only if there's a serious procedural issue and it's prejudiced the jury. In non jury cases the conviction would simply be overturned but again only if it's procedural issues. A judge can say anything they want during sentencing as long as it's not racist or something. He has an issue with women not doing what he wants or did you even watch this video and hear his numerous domestic abuse charges? His charm didn't work so he went with what he always does when it comes to that and attacked. Stop victim blaming. Edit: If how a judge talked to the defendant they've convicted determines if they got released a lot of serial killers would be free. The guy that messed with all the gymnasts would be walking the streets. You know nothing while trying to act like an authority.
