@christianvalarus5950 Because Al-Qaeda isn't in charge of other terrorist groups. Going after Bin Laden was the whole reason we were there according to what Congress approved. Once that was done the objective was complete and we should have left.

@GY-hd4br Not really because Biden isn't the one calling the shots. The deadline was moved hoping that they'd attack our troops. The MSM is gleefully boasting how people's opinion on leaving is changing as they flood you with images that honestly have been occurring there regularly before now because it's been incredibly dangerous for the civilians because we weren't enforcing law and order and neither was the Afghan government. The police force had young, male, sex slaves for Christ's sake as did some of their military. The mothers begged them to stop, but they wouldn't. The idea that it's been "stable" is strictly from our troops not being attacked. It wasn't stable for the civilians, it was a nightmare.

I think it should have been done according to the original plan. Civilians, equipment, equipment and couldn't bring destroyed, our bases destroyed, military out. I don't support just basically running away in the middle of the night, not telling our European allies what was going on.

No. Afghanistan the country/government, did nothing against us rather than say they weren't going to devote resources to going after Al-Qaeda who had training facilities in their country. So we attacked them to get Bin Laden who was hiding in their country. We threatened Pakistan with the same thing but they agreed to cooperate. They didn't really because they knew when he came to their country, but we pretended like they did.

Nobody is saying withdrawal wasn't the right call. It's how it was done that's the problem.

@christianvalarus5950 Most don't understand that the reason Japan and Germany were so successful was because that's what was done to get them to surrender. Most also don't know we lost almost as many troops after the war rooting out insurgents.

So much so. If she had an accent it wouldn't be near as cringe worthy.

@johntheherbalistg8756 You don't want isolationism but said you did in your reply to me. I don't know why you seem to not understand we, the USA not South Korea, are still at war with North Korea. Basically you're saying we should break pretty much every treaty we have with ever other country and then if we get in trouble hope they don't remember and refuse to help us. You're delusional if you think we are in any condition to take on China and Russia at once alone. Plus it would be more than that because they have pacts with other countries to help them if they declare war. Japan isn't allowed to have anything but a defensive force and a standing military was shutdown recently by us because that was a condition of thei surrender. They are prevented by us and the UN from having anything but a Navy and a tiny force. Learn more before you comment again. You're just proving how completely uninformed about international matters you are.

The most troops we ever had in Afghanistan was around 100,000. That was during Obama's push campaign. 3 million people in the military doesn't mean 3 million active troops that are battle ready. Many, many of them are administration positions, medical, lawyers, data analysis, etc.

If those were mercenaries, they were worst that's ever been. They couldn't even do jumping jacks and most were on drugs. Plus it's well documented they weren't being paid much and sometimes not at all.

So many of you missed the point. She pronounced it correctly between speaking perfect US English before and after it. When people do that, it's a virtue signaling and generally insulting to people who speak that as a native language.

How could it be 5 years ago when that debate was last year? No I'm not subscribing and giving someone I can't stand money, but nice try.

Yes I'm sure the 15,000 Americans trapped in Afghanistan and their families are thrilled with Biden's pullout game. We held it for 11 days knowing they were coming and didn't lift a finger to get our citizens out. That's a spectacular job. Bestest evah!!!! Not to mention they will openly tell you, there is no plan to help get them to the airport meaning they are on their own to hopefully not be beaten, kidnapped, or killed on their way. Awesome job Joe! You should definitely continue to vote for these wonderfulness well informed, caring people.

Then feel free to move to Afghanistan anytime you like. Right now they have no idea who belongs and who doesn't. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and many other Middle Eastern countries that you can choose from too.

I don't agree with that. Since you're just quoting him, zI don't know if you do either. As far the Crusades go, it depends on which one. A couple weren't to Jerusalem, but were to drive them out of Europe. Those I agree with. Very few historians or military experts don't believe the nukes were the wrong call.

We are still at war in Korea. It's just a ceasefire. Obama tried to pull our equipment and most personnel out of Europe and then Russia started threatening them and they asked us to move everything back. Then Russia invaded Crimea and started a "civil war" in Ukraine.

Not just economic reasons. Many of those men are criminals who are about to face the judgement their religion calls for. Far too many of them were engaged in child sex rings and I guarantee they're running now because all it takes is 2 people to accuse them and it's execution for them.

Most of them were interpreters. I'm pretty sure that's exclusively who has been given Visas. They helped us talk to the people, read intercepted messages, and negotiations. They helped us find and execute Bin Laden and route out Al-Qaeda operatives saving our soldiers lives. Al-Qaeda isn't their "selling out their countrymen". Their countrymen were also subjected to death by attacks from Al-Qaeda.

No women can't do those things without their husband's approval. Even if she's capable of doing both, if he says no then it's off the table. Also they forcibly marry off girls as young as 13. Meaning that a woman has no choice but to marry. If a man and woman commit adultry the woman is stoned to death and nothing is done to the man. Nice attempt at trying to make it look similar to Western ideas when it's far from it. As for justice, it only takes 2 men to say something happened. No proof is required. Here in the West we know that eyewitness accounts are unreliable as proof because the mind tends to twist things and 2 people that see the exact same thing will have completely different accounts. It's nearly unheard of for someone to be convicted simply on the word of others with no proof. You're example of someone testifying against an accomplice is not correct either. That's not allowed unless their account can be backed up with corroborating evidence. It's clear that if you do live in the West, you have no clue what you're talking about.
