This is why many parents have taken control of school boards instead of electing the so called professionals. I graduated in 90 so I was still taught how to think and it was in every subject. My senior English teacher was great at it. When we'd read something she'd ask what we thought it meant and that there are no wrong answers. We had to explain why we got what we did from it. Then she'd tell us what the author intended but made it clear that what we got from it was just as important because art is about the experience.

She may have had a 4.0. It's just her 4.0 was based on bs standards. They tried to get my oldest to apply. He had a 4.2 and accelerated classes. Those you have to pass a national test on which is probably why a lot of schools in "progressive" areas are getting rid of them because they're "racist".
