  1. I don't know. Once he realized the gun was fake, he was at risk of charges. I'd rather catch that charge than in my adrenaline and shocked state say something stupid to incriminate myself and catch a murder charge. Contacting a lawyer to make any statements for you, is the right move. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what his buddy was telling him.

  2. I'm well trained, but if someone is threatening my life I'm pulling the trigger until I hear it click empty. Of course it will be rapid fire. I'm not taking a chance they can keep going. Then again I also only hold 10 rounds. That's also police training. Edit: You're also assuming all 8 rounds connected with the target, which they don't pretty much ever because the target is moving.

  4. Don't agree on the leaving the scene. It's something he can be charged with, but it's not a big crime. Better to contact a lawyer than say something stupid while you're so agitated with adrenaline pumping. One simple misstatement of using the wrong word could see you facing a lot more. It's just like saying you shouldn't plead the 5th or demand a lawyer when arrested because of optics. Optics be damned when it's your future on the line.
