When Hasan was complaining about gentrification after he bought that house, I was wondering why he didn't buy a bunch of cheap homes in one of those neighborhoods, fix them up, and give them back to the family or just sell it back to them at the same price. He could have fixed up at least half a block if not an entire one if he didn't go expensive on the repairs. You talking about family members doing that for their family member and it's just a reflection of the times. A few years ago that would have been the default of most people. Now sadly many younger people won't even help take care of their elderly parents and toss them in a home and never visit. There's a reason the number of nursing homes is skyrocketing. I was raised the old way. Family is everything because when you're friends are all gone, family will always be there. My grandfather paid $1,500 to get my teeth filled. I ended up having 30 cavities in 2 years at age 22 even though I'd never had them before. He passed away and several years later, when my kids were starting school, I got them fixed again and it was extensive. I had to have surgery. That's when my dentist discovered it was caused by genetics. I took out a loan through a company that that was their entire business. It took 3 years and a high interest rate, but I got my teeth fixed. I was able to help other people because they didn't know that was even an option.
