@Ranid The thing about a renaissance is that it's not usually known by the mainstream. The creatives aren't recognized for their greatness at the time and it takes looking back on it to see it. The 80s and 90s were unique because they were commercially successful. That's extremely rare. They are correct in that we should be in one because of the censorship and authoritarian policies. So there should be an underground counterculture and movements. Looking at somethings that have been put out in the last 3 or so years and some recent commercial success of a couple of projects, I'd say it's starting to finally kickoff.
