@emberfist8347 It's not done by foriegn agencies and then shared. It's called the Patriot Act and it allows them to have all that information (including wiretapping) from every immigrant and expand that out to the 3rd person contact. An example is my husband is an immigrant. So they can spy on me, every person I make contact with (no matter how small like a sales person) and every person they have contact with. If they think they found something, they go to a secret court that and get a rubber stamp to do pretty much anything they like. Searches, follow me, etc with me having zero recourse. The threshold is extremely low as we found out when was exposed they'd used those courts against political opponents. We have 23 intelligence agencies. The FBI in particular was created as a temporary agency to deal with people in the mob. Now they've been caught numerous times entrapping citizens to justify their budget. If there's so little real threats that they have to create them, they aren't that needed. Edit: According to whistleblowers, the FBI is also purging people based on political leanings. So yes, even the pencil pushers because they're only still there because they've proven their political loyalty.

That didn't used to be a right wing only position. Bernie talked about how immigration needs to be firmly controlled because it takes jobs away from low income. Under Obama both sides voted in favor of better border security and a fence. Open borders only ever came out of the extreme parts of the Libertarian party.
