  4. Putin doesn't have to put any effort to sell anything. The biggest problem is class of really rich businessmen, that almost fully consists of ppl related to criminal and even paramilitary organisations. Regional elites under those businessmen are playing role of loyal bureaucrats, but irl they are local feudals that are waiting for vacuum of power in Kremlin to start tearing state on their personal kingdoms🌝👉👈

  5.  @Gobberfisch  yeah, but there are nothing special about it, when you leave any big city of russia. While US has its own Rust belt, russia consists of one big Bible+rust belt after fall of USSR. Trickle down economy of oil and gas works only in cities, which are directly related to oil/gas industry and few big cities, where companies are formally registered, so their taxes fund "white lifestyle". Everything else looks like there were war few weeks ago, because russian civilization survived 2 "apocalypses" - 1917 and 1992. Now russia in heading in its third apocalypse, which may be final push to dissolution of russian civilization between Asia and Europe.
