Ukraine territories ade very valuable from economical point, 37+ million population, high developed agricultural sector, unique naval building facilities (soviet carriers were built in Ukraine). A lot of metal casting factories and black metal/coil mines for next hundred years. Developed, relatively modern transport infrastructure with direct access to Europe market, ect. Historically Ukraine were heart of Russia Empire economical system. As same as Hong Kong is major part of China economical and logistic sectors and potential owning of Taiwan will give China global monopoly in semiconductor sector
