SU was gov capitalistic system, where everyone had to work on government and then "invest" into state through banking system, which also was 100% under government. Stalin and another top members of party were literally millionaires with army of stuff and pile of private equity, that was masked under "gov" property. In core it was one big company, that produced everything and owned everything, while holding own workers in own territory
