For East slavic it's was and still is important part of cuisine and culture, which came from jew culture, but i never liked it cuz of awful fishy taste and smell

@Vednier classic variant is salted or marinated in oil, but they are awful, unlike tuna in olive oil, which tastes like meat with unusual texture
