You understand the destruction of Edom is biblical. Edom is the resurrection of the global society known as Babylon. The first (that I know of) Babylonian society was the pre-flood world. The second was founded by the time of Moses. The third has been ongoing since the scattering of the people building the tower of Babel. No attempt to destroy Babylon has been successful as those who have tried did not have the blessing of God to do so. Many have claimed to fight it, only they've been agents thereof and only slaughtered those faithful to God on behalf of Babylon. The closest was the British empire, who was also corrupted. Babylon is now world wide, and has been since the fall of the soviet union. Consider all the varieties of global government from WBO to the UN and all its subsidiaries.
