@lynnhoffmann247 Oh yes…they had that $ gaining interest. I didnt remember the son Tony on the stand saying they ever got the money. Maybe he wasn’t asked. Thx for that. I felt so sorry for Tony- I wonder if he thought his mother fell or was pushed. I didn’t think he dogs were able to roam around the property. It was mentioned by some that on the 911 call, neither M nor P mentioned any dogs. Thx for answering!

@lynnhoffmann247 Ilived very close to Garden City and got my wedding dress there -beautiful strip off stores. I lived in Long Island most of my adult life (originally from Queens till 10 yrs old.)and moved to South Florida in 1990. You are right. New Yorkers speak before they think. I think its because if we don’t, someone else will start talking!!

@lynnhoffmann247 yes, we always interrupt eachother. Like we all have ADD lol I remember that store when I worked in Manhattan. Gristedes. Interesting about your comments about the financial things. If you saw the Netflix series, at first its so emotional you feel for the kids, but they were 19 and drinking illegally. Maybe they couldn’t have gotten the beer if Paul didn’t get it for them, but they were old enough to not get into a boat knowing Paul was drunk. And on the series, you can see Morgan squirting a shot into Alex’s mouth on the boat- and they both served underaged kids alcohol. For an attorney to do this is just wrong. Maggie was to blame as much as Alex. I know kids will find ways to drink but they encouraged it. It’s just so hard to imagine a father killing his own son and his wife.

@lynnhoffmann247 how did the current attorney get 6.5 mil? Wasn’t the settlement 4.5 mil? And did they get it yet/ some say they didn’t.

@VioletJoy Right after her funeral, Murdaugh reportedly approached her sons and said that he had liability insurance on his home and that his friend, lawyer Corey Fleming, would take care of them. They never received any compensation for their mother’s death. It was later revealed in a lawsuit brought by insurance firm Nautilus Insurance Company that, about a month before their mother’s deadly fall, Murdaugh had taken out a multimillion-dollar balloon policy on his estate. Mr Fleming made a claim against that in the name of the Satterfield family. About $4.3 million was paid out, but the Satterfields never saw a dime, according to criminal and civil allegations. The funds went from Mr Fleming, who wrote out a check to Forge Consulting LLC and delivered it to Murdaugh. Forge is a legitimate settlement funding company and in a workaround, Murdaugh went to Bank of America and opened an account in his name. About $3 million of the funds that should have gone to the Satterfields was deposited into that account, along with millions belonging to countless other clients ———- Copy and pasted from National news

@lynnhoffmann247 I don’t know where you are from but I’m a New Yorker and was shocked when I moved south how slow and seemingly “unaffected” people sounded. I even had a hard time watching the trial bc it was so slow paced. (Except for the states closing rebuttal-his pace is what I’m used to)I’m not criticizing southerners but they are much less emotionally driven than big city people. Well, in my almost 66 years I’ve come to that conclusion lol. Ok- no matter how I say it it is going to sound judgmental…maybe “reserved” is more the description. I just wonder how they even knew what happened since when she got knocked down (if that happened),I am sure she was speechless. I’m glad you confirmed he wasn’t asked about that bc I watched it twice and didn’t remember —but these days that happens a lot.

@lynnhoffmann247 Im thinking, Dorothy was a strong Christian. The boating case was coming up. She may have been trying to talk with him about straightening out his life. She may have felt God had her in that family for a reason. How do we not know they just didn’t get into an argument and Paul did push her? Maybe she was leaving the house. When was the 911 call and when did she first came to the house starting work? Why would she be on those stairs? There has to be public info on all that. Some people aren’t hysterical in emergencies. Not defending her. I would probably be hysterical. Maybe she was in shock Yes I heard the 911 call several times.
