  1. Probably double to triple what someone makes in a rural area. So a 4K rent a month is comparable to 2K in a place like Ohio. I am from NYC and I remember a friend in the early 80’s paying 350. A month for a studio on 5th and 17th street. It would probably be 2K or more today. A walk down in a brownstone which was probably someone’s storage space. He’s also a dentist.
