@JonBlackstone I agree…they were in habitual sin. Brian tried to explain it all away as what happened to David and Bathsheba…I don’t think so especially since he didnt repent and come clean…these are the kids of people my kids got to witness at the church and church school they attended. When the Pastor fell having been committing adultery with 5 different women, it really affected them-at that point they were teens. I listened to Brians testimony twice and he is so full of it. He knows that the insurance money was a big motivator…and he cant even admit that. These people give Christians a bad name. Most who profess are living heathen lives anyway. The one person who was probably the true example of a Christian was Mike. His mother sacrificed to put him in a school that she thought would be godly and look who he met. Salvation is a free gift not base don works, but as you said you should be born again and if the Spirit is truly in dwelling, then you would not be in habitual sin. Brian is the worst off the worst. Hopefully he did get right with God but what he is saying at the trial reeks of BS.

@starcatcher3691 od killed an animal as atonement to cover Adam and Eve after they sinned. God made animals for food. What is the difference having chicken for dinner, or killing duck? We have digestive enzymes to digest meat. You don’t need Hydrochloric acid which the stomach produces to digested vegetables. Its to cleave protein from meat into usable amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks for our bodies. As long as the animal doesnt suffer. Many animals killed for food suffer much more. Its sad to think about but its part of life.
