  1.  @jangould5435  it seems Charles probably wanted to adopt JJ and not Lori. Charles was a relative that came through for his nephew and girlfriend, both drug addicts. He knew his sister and her husband didn’t feel confident to raise him. Lori got JJ by default. she probably was doing it for Charles. Her daughter was being taken care of by Charles.

  3. Once she found out she wasn’t the beneficiary (why would she be) of Charles life insurance policy, she seemed to have totally snapped. That was going to be her prize for his murder.

  4. They were both already in the Mormon church, which is a cult. People need to look into it. They do not believe in the basic tenets of the Christian faith. So it was easier to go more off the path-they were already off it.
